This wine was crushed and fermented at McHenry Vineyard. Due to the 2020 CZU fire, it was later produced and bottled for us by John Benedetti of Sante Arcangeli Family Wines. We are immensely grateful for his generosity in helping us during a difficult time.
This vintage has a deep and rich hue and a scent that delights. The nose has hints of violets, black currants and freshly turned garden soil. It is luscious and soft on the palette with notes of ripe berries and vanilla.
We picked on September 20 and 26 at 23.4 degrees Brix, 0.75 total acidity, and 3.3 pH. The wine aged for nearly two years in 60 gallon French oak barrels.
There are only 62 cases.
$40 per bottle, $408 per case (includes 15% case discount), Alc. 13.2% by volume.
